Dena Rupp and Justin Crouch

Dena Rupp and Justin Crouch were united in marriage on September 1, 2007. An outdoor ceremony took place at the location of Zion Lutheran Church in Omaha, NE with Pastor Jerry Wagoner officiating. Parents of the bride are Richard and Diane Rupp of Villisca, IA. Parents of the groom are Kenneth & Stephanie Crouch of Glenwood, IA, and Don & Kandy Leath of Omaha, NE. Grandparents of the bride are Lorraine and the late Virgil Sunderman of Villisca, IA, and the late Lois & Clifford Rupp. Grandparents of the groom are Kenneth and Elizabeth Crouch of Glenwood, IA, and Dorothy & the late Bud Madison.

Standing up with the bride were Megan Schmidt (friend), Brandy Sunderman (cousin), Jackie Skahill (friend), Becky Jensen (friend), Becky Nicks (friend), Joni Nix (friend), Chimene Cobb (sister), and Michelle Gillespie (sister). Junior bridesmaids were Taylor Cobb (niece) and Kara Gillespie (niece).

Standing up with the groom were Josh Crouch (brother), Dennis Anderson (friend), Scott Bantz (friend), Nick Wray (friend), BJ Martin (friend), Nick Jameson (friend), Howie Maxwell (friend), and Joel Crouch (cousin). Junior groomsmen were Cody Crouch (brother) and Chance Cobb (nephew).

Five ringbearers and one flower girl accompanied the couple down the aisle. Ringbearers were Dayton Cobb, Cody Cobb, Gavin Rupp, Owen Rupp, and Eli Rupp (all nephews of the bride). The flowergirl was Kamyrn Crouch (niece of groom).

Ushers were Matt Rupp (brother), Tom Gillespie (brother-in-law), Lee Cobb (brother-in-law), Jake Gillespie (nephew), Jared Gillespie (nephew). Personal attendants were Heidi Sloth (friend), Mary McKeever (friend), and Amanda Crouch (sister-in-law). Guestbook attendants were Jordan VanMorleghem and Julie Lammers (friends of couple). Flower attendants were Julie Jameson (friend) and Stephanie Rupp (sister-in-law). Tiki torch lighters were Norma Rae Wolfe and Natalie Annan (friends of couple). Videographers were Tammie and Craig Johannes (friends of couple). Host and Hostess were Steve and Fil Annan (aunt & uncle). Vocalist & guitarist was Chris Saub.

Cocktails, dinner, and dancing followed the uniting of marriage at Champions Run in Omaha, NE. The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Napa Valley and now reside at their home in Glenwood, IA.

Abigail Vera Brenton and Daniel John Rausch were married in Milwaukee, WI on July 14, 2007 in St. Matthias Catholic Church. Officiating the ceremony was Father David Cooper.

Mother of the bride is Karen J. Brenton of Wauwatosa, WI and father of the bride is Rennie L. Brenton (a former Villisca resident), now from Jacksonville, FL.

Parents of the groom are Raymond and Holly Rausch of Milwaukee, WI. Grandparents of the bride, the late Dencil K. and the late Vera H. Brenton, were longtime Villisca residents.

Bridesmaids were Kimberly Sladek-Huebner, Angela Desjarlais and Megan Gore, all from Milwaukee, WI and friends of the bride. Honor attendant was Loretta Brenton of Vancouver, WA, aunt of the bride. Groomsmen were Matthew Rausch, brother of the groom; Patrick McNally and William Hoettels, friends of the groom. Greeters at the ceremony were Tyler Logan Brenton of Titusville, PA, sister of the bride; and Patricia Sullivan, friend of the couple.

Following the ceremony, an epicurean-style reception with cocktails, dinner and dancing was held at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in North Milwaukee. The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica and will be making their home in Milwaukee.

Brent Bass

Jennifer Jackson and Brent Bass were united in marriage on April 21, 2007. The ceremony took place at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Bethesda, Iowa with Pastor Chris Hall officiating. Parents of the couple are Randy and Peggy Jackson of Villisca and Byron and Konnie Bass of Stanton.

Bridesmaids were Katie Son of Pella serving as matron of honor and Jessie Boehm of Omaha, both friends of the bride. Emilee Soll of Fort Calhoun, NE, friend of the bride, was personal attendant.

Best man for the ceremony was Nick Hughes of Red Oak and groomsmen Jeff Wiese of Red Oak, both friends of the groom. Ushers were Matt Jackson, brother of the bride, Mike Buntrock, Trent Larson, and Mark Snyder, friends of the groom.

The ringbearer and flowergirls were the couples daughters, Hannah, Payten, and Camryn. Guest book attendants and musical coordinators were Pat Thomas and Amy McQueen, friends of the bride. Vocal music during the lighting of the unity candle was provided by matron of honor Katie Son. Troy Culbertson, friend of the groom served as program attendant.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the National Guard Armory in Red Oak, Iowa. Host and hostess duties were performed by Evie Peterson, Pam Ehlers, Vern and Carey Schutt, and Scott and Robin Culbertson, friends of the couple. Cake was served by Jill Cooper and Pat Victor, both friends of the bride.

Jennifer is a 1999 graduate of Villisca High School and a 2003 graduate of Iowa State University. She is currently employed as a registered dietitian with DaVita Dialysis, Inc in Shenandoah. Brent is a 1987 graduate of Red Oak High School and a 1995 graduate of Iowa Western Community College. He is employed as the customer service manager for Traco in Red Oak. The couple resides with their three daughters on an acreage south of Red Oak.

Cortnee Marie Vollers

Cortnee Marie Vollers and James Vincent Else were married at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton, MO, on May 19, 2007.

The ceremony was officiated by Deacon Ted Stahl and the reception was held in the Church Hall. Cortnee is the daughter of JC and Alane Vollers of Camdenton, MO, and James is the son of Judy and Vince Else of Nodaway, IA. Attendants for the bride were Michele Vollers, Allison Ehelebe, Daleann Ballentine and Allison Spacek. Attendants for the groom were Josh Graf, Nate Harris, and Jordan Vollers. The flower girl and ring bearer were Alexa Tonjes and Dane Moyer.

The couple lives in Omaha, NE where Cortnee is currently is finishing her degree in Clinical Laboratory Science at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Jim is an assistant manager at Menards home improvement store.

Elishia Anderson and John Houser were united in marriage on June 2, 2007, in a small family ceremony at the home of Bill and Chlorina Fitzwater, officiated by the groom's father. The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Tina Anderson and Peggy Vermillion, all of Villisca. The groom is the son of Jim and Ellen Houser, of Coburg.

The bride, wearing a duchess satin gown, with tufted skirt and crimson sash was pulled and pushed down the aisle by her father and grandfather, after a moment of hyperventilation. Serving as maid of honor was Jess Murren, of Red Oak and bridesmaid was Leslie Brewster, of Knoxville, Ia, both friends of the bride.

Best man for the ceremony was John Murren, of Red Oak, friend of the groom and groomsmen was Jimmy Houser, brother of the groom.

Ring bearer for the service was Jesse Houser, son of the groom and Stefanie Johannes was the flower girl. A special reading for the couple was given by Sawyer Johannes during the ceremony.

Katie Nesbitt & Joshua Cooney were united in marriage on February 16, 2007 in Kalein, Texas.

The wedding was performed by Rev. Monty VanHorn, a close friend of the groom and his military chaplain.

A reception was held after the wedding in Kalein.

The bride is the daughter of Andrea & Davis Jonethis & Tom & Shelly Nesbitt.

The groom is the son of Kevin & Tina Anderson of Villisca and Dennis & Sue Cooney of Bedford.

The happy couple will reside in Pueblo, Colorado. Joshua remains in active duty with the US Army. Katie will continue her education in college.
