Villiscans celebrate life milestones with Villiscans, former Villiscans and others with a relationship with Villisca. These are pages where we share announcements of engagements, weddings, births, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, deaths and information about VHS alumni and friends. The pages on this site for the most part are just a record of 2006 happenings. To catch up on events prior to 2006, click on the Family Album page at villiscareview.com and then go to the archived pages.

Artwork being sought for use for e-cards on villisca.com. click here for details

A grant received by the City of Villisca from the Montgomery County Endowment Foundation to, among other things, add e-cards to the villisca.com website.. We are looking for graphics - art, photographs, cartoons - to use for those e-cards. The goal is to promote the things that make Villisca a great place to call home, to grow a business and a place with a unique history. Therefore, the graphics we are looking for should have a Villisca theme - scenics, life in Villisca, Villisca history, and artwork that just shows the talents of Villiscans - students and adults. In all likelihood, we will not be able to use all artwork submitted and we reserve the right not to use pieces that are not in good taste or that poorly represents our community. Credit will be given to the creators. Please submit original pieces, pieces that are not copyrighted. It is not our intent to be like all the other e-card sites - we want to provide something different with a Villisca or rural touch. Some will be serious, others will be humorous, some warm and fuzzy, some not so much so. It is an evolving idea and will be driven by the graphics we receive. It is preferred if the graphics are submitted in .jpeg format (for photos and details drawings) or .gif format (for graphics with less detail). They can be sent to villisca@villisca.com. If someone is not able to submit them by e-mail, give Roxanna Sieber a call at 712-826-8159 and leave a message. This is one more opportunity that people interested in the growth of our community can participate in bringing new life to a great community.
